Welcome to Locust Grove!
We’re glad to have you join us for our time of worship together. If you haven’t already attended, we would
love to have you also join us for Sunday school next Sunday. Sunday school is an important step in making
further connections with a smaller group of people. Ask for help if you have any questions or
need more information about our church.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Food donations
during December will go to the Keystone Place.
The Women’s Mission & Service project for December
is the Kindness Closet in Centreville.
For the monthly meeting this Thursday, Gerri Schwartz is in charge of
the kitchen and Louellen Westover will have devotions.
We will plan to not have Sunday school on
December 24 but will have it on December 31.
2024
offering envelopes are available. If
you have used them before and don’t want to use them next year, please let the
church office or Kay Large know. Or
if you didn’t use them and want to start, let us know that, too. They will be in your mailboxes Sunday, Dec. 31.
Mennonite Central Committee Meat Canning will be at the Depot in Goshen. Our church’s slot to work is January 6 from 1:45-8:00
PM. Wear clean clothes and hair
coverings. If you would like to
volunteer, contact Louanne Younts. They
would also appreciate donations for the $175,000 budget to purchase materials
and chicken or turkey. Checks can be
made out to the church with “meat canner” in the memo.
Our youth will be going on a service trip to
North Carolina next summer, June 29-July 6.
To secure your spot on the trip, a $50 non-refundable deposit is due to
a youth sponsor by Sunday, January 7.
After this date, there is no guarantee that a spot will be available.
