Daylight Savings Time ends next Sunday.  Please remember to turn your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday evening.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month.  We will be celebrating today with a potluck meal after the worship service.  Please plan to stay for lunch.

Celebrate the time change by coming to the Marriage Retreat Fundraiser Breakfast next Sunday from 8:15-9:00 AM.  Donations will be used to help fund the up-coming Marriage Retreat, “The Joy of Serving”, Feb. 20-22, 2015 at the Farmstead Inn in Shipshewana.

Amigo Centre Open Gym starts Nov. 3 from 7-9:00 PM.  The cost is $3 per person.  Call Amigo at 651-2811 if you have questions.

During the month of November the Missions Commission is conducting a “paper drive” for the Haven of Rest Mission in Battle Creek.  Please bring paper towels, copy paper and toilet paper and place them in the box by the library.

The next LGMC Red Cross Blood Drive will be November 3.

Craft Club will be Nov. 6 at 7:00 PM at Pat Eicher’s.  Call Martha Franz if you need directions. 

November is the month to sign up for the Marriage Retreat in February 2015.  The committee has been planning a rewarding weekend of fun, fellowship, and exciting discoveries to enrich your marriage.  Join the group in “The Joy of Serving” with speaker Don Smith from FFM.  Cost is $200 per couple for the weekend.  $100 deposit is due Dec. 1, 2014 and the $100 balance is due Jan. 15.  Sign up sheet is in the fellowship hall.  Payments may be made to Locust Grove Marriage Mentoring and given to Louanne Younts.

Annual Reports for the 2013-14 church year are due. 

Wedding congratulations to two special families at Locust Grove!  RJ Kimmons and Emily Nunemaker were married on Oct. 17.  They, along with their children Nick, Sadie, Owen & Jack, live at 233 Prairie River Road, Bronson.  In addition, Ken Schwartz and Brandy Schwenk were married on Oct. 18.  They and their boys Dustin & Caleb live at 62357 Nottawa Road, Sturgis.  Blessings to these families!

Congratulations to Rick & Doris Bogen on the birth of 2 little grandbabies.

   Elliana Katherine was born on July 3 to Angela & Ben West.  She joins sisters Emily (5) and Katelyn (3).  And Cedrick Paul was born on Oct. 15 to Michelle & Andy Rohrer.  He joins siblings Kenna (almost 10) and Cole (7).  May God bless this growing family!
