LGMC Bulletin

We will be having communion today but there will not be footwashing.

This is the last Sunday that the children will be collecting money for the MCC meat canning project.  Thank you all for your generosity! 

Pastor Bill will be on vacation Jan. 16-20.

Wednesday Connection will begin again this Wednesday, Jan. 16.  Supper will be from 5:30-6:15 and classes begin at 6:30.  Everyone is invited to attend.

WMSC is Thursday.  Rachael Hochstedler is in charge of the kitchen and Rachel Oswald will have devotions.  The project for January is blankets and twin flat sheets for MCC.

Thursday, Jan. 17 is Locust Grove’s day to help with the meat canner at the Depot in Goshen.  You are required to wear clean clothes and something on your head.  Work starts at 7:00 AM and goes to 9:00 PM.

Congratulations to Sam & Candace Eicher on the birth of their son, Noah Joseph, born on Jan. 10.  He weighed 9 lb 4 oz and was 21 ½ inches long.  Proud grandparents are Bill & Sherry Beck and Joe & Karis Eicher.  Blessings to all!

Calvary Chapel is inviting all widows to a Widows Banquet on Jan. 18 at 5:00 PM.  There will be a meal and speaker.  Please call Randy Mullett at 574-575-3150 for reservations. 

There will be a Gideon presentation Sunday morning, Jan. 27, with an offering for the Gideon ministry.

Plan now to join in an Area Hymn Sing on Sunday evening, Jan. 27 at 6:00 PM at Locust Grove.

Remember to bring your food donations that will go to Salvation Army.

Please sign up in the fellowship hall to attend our next Marriage Retreat, Feb. 22-24, at the Potawatomi Inn, Pokagon State Park.  We are looking forward to time together for fellowship, growth and opportunities to energize our marriages.  The Marriage Retreat Committee has raised funds to offset part of the cost, so your portion is $150 per couple for 2 nights and dinner on Saturday.  Checks can be made payable to Locust Grove Marriage Mentoring and given to Ben & Nickie Younts or Brent & Eva Beeker.  Reservations must be made by Jan. 22. ~ Bill & Louanne Younts
