Amigo Centre is having their annual Woodcutting Day on Saturday, Apr. 20 beginning at 8:00 AM, with brunch served at 10:00 AM.  There will be more splitting than cutting this year so volunteers are asked to bring splitters if they have them.  Volunteers are also needed to carry wood.
ANNOUNCEMENTS, cont.
There will be a fellowship meal on Sunday, Apr. 21 after the morning service.  The Sunday school class taught by Gerri Schwartz will have a haystack meal and would be glad to have people bring a salad or dessert to go with the meal.  All are welcome!
The WMSC project for April is sewing kits for MCC.
Each year the Mennonite colleges – Bethel, Bluffton, EMU, Goshen and Hesston – offer students a grant that matches home congregation contributions dollar for dollar up to $1,000 per year ($500/semester).  Locust Grove has a line item in the budget that goes to that fund and in past years has had a special offering for that purpose.  If you are a high school senior or current college student, are planning to attend one of these colleges, and would like to take part in this program, please notify Gerri Schwartz by Apr. 21.
Information regarding Mennonite Women’s spring meetings is on the console by the library.
There is a “Be the Match Drive” (bone marrow testing) to help find a match for Matt Littlefield on Apr. 27 at Sturgis Middle School from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Ages 18-44 can do a cheek swab to be tested.
