A number of people in our congregation are enjoying The Mennonite. It comes twice a month and has many good articles. It is a good way to stay connected to the broader church and know what is going on across our country in the Mennonite Church USA/Canada. With 6 or more subscribers, the price is $33 per year. That is about $1.27 per copy. Please let Faith or Jim know if you would like to take advantage of a group rate.
The WMSC project for April is cash for the purchase of 2 iPods for Gary & Ruth Denlinger, our missionary family in Israel. Our church members traveling to Israel in May will take them to the Denlingers.
The WMSC meeting for April 20th will be an all-church activity. Come anytime in the afternoon or evening. There will be a carry-in meal in the evening. Teens, men, women, children, and friends - all are invited. There will be more details later.
PATMOS, a music group from Moldova, will present a concert at Locust Grove Mennonite Church, Sunday April 30, at 10:30 AM. They will have CD's for sale, and a free-will offering will be taken to help cover their expenses. Their music is instrumental, but they are very good musicians and make beautiful music.
Regular and substitute volunteer clerks are needed at the Whistle Stop and Switch Yard MCC Thrift Shops. Their most urgent needs are for Monday mornings and Saturdays, but other days are available as well. You can choose to work once or twice a month or more.
