ANNOUNCEMENTS
There is still room in the Wednesday Connection group Every Woman’s Battle. We will be covering chapter one this week in the book and workbook, which are available for $12. If you have questions or would like to purchase a book set, please see Audra Franz.
Attention Quilters – All quilters are invited to Lake Area Christian School on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 9-5 to quilt for the LACS Bazaar. Lunch will be provided.
You are invited to Lake Area Christian School for a chili supper and gospel singing fundraiser on Oct. 23. Supper will be from 5-6:30 PM (donation basis) followed by a concert at 6:30 by the Wasepi Bluegrass.
We will celebrate Pastor Appreciation Sunday on Oct. 25. There will be a fellowship dinner immediately following the morning service. Please bring hot dishes, salads or desserts. The meal will be followed by a time for sharing our appreciation.

Invitation to all! You are invited to attend the 1st Annual Cross Links Banquet to be held in Indiana on Oct. 24 at 6:00 PM at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. Come and enjoy a wonderful meal followed by an informative meeting on what Cross Links does and how it got started. There is no cost to you for the meal. The Jail Ministry Annual Banquet will be Thursday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 PM at Calvary Chapel (north of Sturgis). Please note that this is the 5th Thursday of October, not the 3rd as usually scheduled.
The next Women’s Fellowship will be a shopping trip to Glenbrook Mall in Ft. Wayne on Saturday, Nov. 7. We will be carpooling and/or using the church van. In order to make arrangements, there will be a sign up sheet next Sunday on the library counter. The estimated time of leaving is 9:00 AM from the church or other sites depending on who is going. We plan to eat lunch together as much as possible in the restaurant areas. Departure time would be variable depending on the carload. Friends are invited to go along. If you have any questions, members of the committee are Natalie Bellaire, Janell Lederman, Teresa Owsley, Ruth Peshina, Jessilyn Troyer and Nickie Younts.
If you would like your college student to receive “The Mennonite”, please let Beth Miller know. The church will pay for their subscription.

St. Joseph/Cass County Right to Life 2009 Annual Focus on Life Benefit Dinner will be Oct. 29 at A Place in Time in Three Rivers from 6-9:00 PM. Tickets are $20 per person. Dr. Joseph Kincaid is the guest speaker. Call Jim Goethals at 467-8114 for reservations.
