The Elder Team meeting has been moved from Aug. 8 to Aug.
15.
Needed – Soft-sided, full-sized suitcases
that can be used to take items to Moldova
and then left there to be used by the Moldovan pastors. Talk to Beth or Ramona if you can help with
this.
If
anyone has a “boom box” that they can
donate to the primary Sunday school department, please talk to Ramona
King . Cd and cassette capability is preferred, but cd
only would still be appreciated.
On
Aug. 12 Locust Grove’s morning service will be held at Amigo Centre in the
Pavilion. There will be no Sunday
school. Coffee and donuts will be served
at 10:00 AM and the service will
begin at 10:30 AM . There will be a fellowship meal following the
service. Please bring a dish or two and
your own table service. An offering will
be received for Amigo for the use of the facility.
Our
“Moldova Travelers” – Douglas Hasbrouck, Ramona King ,
Beth Miller, Timothy Reed , and Fred Schwartz –
will be hosting a haystack dinner on
Sunday, Aug. 19 to raise funds to purchase food for the poor in Moldova . Please join us for this dinner and consider
helping with this mission project.

MCC Relief Sale – The Relief Sale is coming up the end of
September but there are things you can do now.
Save your change and be ready to start putting it in the Penny Power
banks Aug. 19. Start repotting plants,
digging bulbs, quilting, sewing, and finding antiques to donate. – Chris Oswald
Cookie Bake for Relief Sale – Women’s Fellowship is scheduling a cookie
bake on Sept. 20 from 5:30-8:30 PM
for cookies for the Relief Sale. Ingredient
slips will be on the console by the library.
Plan now to help.
MDC Goldenrod Auction is Aug. 24 & 25 at
the Shipshewana Auction Barn. They are
still in need of donated items for this fundraiser.
Don’t
forget to bring staple food supplies for Keystone Place .
The
WMSC is continuing another month with school kits for MCC. In addition, they would also like to remember
our Locust Grove teachers as they help underprivileged students in their
classes. They could use Kleenex, colored
pencils, markers, dry erase markers, plain school backpacks, and notebook
paper. Place items in the large tub on
the console by the library. Thanks!
