ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Elder Team meeting has been moved from Aug. 8 to Aug. 15.

If anyone has a “boom box” that they can donate to the primary Sunday school department, please talk to Ramona King.  Cd and cassette capability is preferred, but cd only would still be appreciated.
On Aug. 12 Locust Grove’s morning service will be held at Amigo Centre in the Pavilion.  There will be no Sunday school.  Coffee and donuts will be served at 10:00 AM and the service will begin at 10:30 AM.  There will be a fellowship meal following the service.  Please bring a dish or two and your own table service.  An offering will be received for Amigo for the use of the facility.
Our “Moldova Travelers” – Douglas Hasbrouck, Ramona King, Beth Miller, Timothy Reed, and Fred Schwartz – will be hosting a haystack dinner on Sunday, Aug. 19 to raise funds to purchase food for the poor in Moldova.  Please join us for this dinner and consider helping with this mission project.
There will be a baptism Aug. 19 at 2:00 PM at Sam & Mattie Miller’s for Tiffany Eicher, Jon Eicher and Douglas Hasbrouck.  You are all invited to share in this special event.

MCC Relief Sale – The Relief Sale is coming up the end of September but there are things you can do now.  Save your change and be ready to start putting it in the Penny Power banks Aug. 19.  Start repotting plants, digging bulbs, quilting, sewing, and finding antiques to donate. – Chris Oswald
Cookie Bake for Relief Sale – Women’s Fellowship is scheduling a cookie bake on Sept. 20 from 5:30-8:30 PM for cookies for the Relief Sale.  Ingredient slips will be on the console by the library.  Plan now to help.

Don’t forget to bring staple food supplies for Keystone Place.
The WMSC is continuing another month with school kits for MCC.  In addition, they would also like to remember our Locust Grove teachers as they help underprivileged students in their classes.  They could use Kleenex, colored pencils, markers, dry erase markers, plain school backpacks, and notebook paper.  Place items in the large tub on the console by the library.  Thanks!
