ANNOUNCEMENTS
It’s time again to sign up for the Sunday school take-home papers you would like to receive in your church mailbox during this next year.  The cost for these is covered by our budget except for the Daily Bread.  (The suggested donation of $10 for this periodical can be put in the offering and marked clearly for Daily Bread.)  Carolyn Gautsche, our Sunday school secretary, has placed order slips on the shelf below the mailboxes.  Mark which papers you want to receive, sign your name, and put the slip in Carolyn and Greg’s church mailbox today.
The Worship Commission is planning for our Aug. 3 worship service to be at Amigo Centre in the Pavilion.  There will not be Sunday school that morning.  Coffee and donuts will be served at 10:00 AM with the worship service beginning at 10:30 AM.  A fellowship meal will follow.  Plan to come, bring a dish or two to share at the meal, and enjoy the beautiful nature at Amigo.  There will be a second offering taken that morning with the proceeds going to Amigo.
Parents of children in the primary department, please let Beth Miller know what grades your child(ren) will be entering this fall, by Sunday, July 27.
ANNOUNCEMENTS, cont.
Sample ballots are in your mailboxes today for the annual affirmation of those willing to serve in positions in the church.  The affirmation vote will take place on Aug. 10 during the morning service.
This fall the primary department will begin using a new curriculum from MennoMedia called "Shine: Living in God's Light." Along with the regular Sunday school material, we will have the "Shine On" story Bible as a resource. This is a 320-page hardcover book that will be used through the next three years. Any Locust Grove family that would like to purchase this book for their home use can do so by letting Carolyn Gautsche know by July 27. Cost is $25. If you have any questions or would like to see additional information, please check with Carolyn, Marilyn Schwartz or Mandy Yoder. Thank you.
Anyone interested in going to Beth Moore’s “Living Proof” seminar in Ft. Wayne, IN on Sept. 13, please let Katrina know.  Cost is $69 and the seminar is from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.  She will be ordering tickets soon.
Just a reminder to bring in your items for the school kits for WMSC.  In addition, remember to bring such things as Kleenex, hand sanitizer, pink erasers, pencils and rulers for our Locust Grove teachers to use in their classrooms.
Remember to bring your food donations that will go to Salvation Army.
