A message from Dana & Donna Sommers:  Greetings from the valley in VA.  We are working at Highland Retreat near Bergton, VA where we have no cell or computer usage.  The camp is in the hills and laid out on 3 levels  which consists of a lodge, retreat center, office, maintenance shop, 3 camping areas, cottages, pool, staff and summer camp buildings and cabins which creates a need for 4 play areas, various kitchens and bathhouses.  Our responsibilities have included marking trails, restoring well established flower beds but neglected for 4 years, bringing play grounds up to insurance code, mowing and many, many other varied maintenance tasks.  With the camp in the hills it has many challenges but it also affords a swinging bridge across the river, a swing hung 40' high, zip-line, tree house, and many remarkable views on the trails.  We have enjoyed working with the staff.  We continue to find friends that we learned to know years ago.  Each Sunday we attend a different church.  If anyone is in the area we encourage you to stop for a tour and swing ride.  We appreciate prayers for safety, endurance and knowledge to complete the tasks assigned to us.  Dana and Donna
