ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Locust Grove 75th Anniversary Celebration will be held the weekend of Sept.12 & 13.  Our theme is "Jesus Christ, Rock of our Foundation".  We are planning a dedication service on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 4:00 PM, followed by a meal at 5:00 PM and an evening program at 6:30 PM.  Pulled pork sandwiches, drinks, and ice cream with toppings will be provided.  Please bring finger foods to share.  There will be organized games and bouncy houses for the children.  On Sunday the 13th, William Hooley will be the speaker at our morning service. 
All nominations for church offices were affirmed on the ballot last Sunday.
One of the ice jugs from the kitchen is missing and is needed for next weekend’s activities.  Please return it as soon as possible.
Please plan to join us for the baptisms of Connie Pagels, Gabe Schrock and Kim Bontrager on Sept. 27 at 1:30 PM at the Amigo Park Pavilion.

Were you the head of a church committee this fiscal year?  Were you sponsors for JYF or the head elder?  Before you put all your papers away, remember to write your year-end report for the church Annual Report. 
Women’s Fellowship will be having a cookie bake here at the church on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 5:00 PM for the MCC Relief Sale.  A sign up sheet for needed ingredients is on the console by the library.  All items need to be here by Tuesday, Sept. 15.  If you have questions, talk to Janell Lederman.
WMSC ladies will be quilting at the County Fair Sept. 21, 22 & 23 instead of on the regularly scheduled meeting on Sept. 17.  You are welcome to join them.  The WMSC project for September is food items for the Salvation Army.
The IN/MI Mennonite Women will have their annual retreat at Amigo Centre on Oct. 9-11.  A poster and brochure are on our bulletin board with more information.  Music leaders will be Kim Schwartz, Jen Gautsche and Sherry Beck.  You can register online or call 651-2811 for more information.  
Remember to bring your food donations that will go to the Salvation Army.
