Welcome to Locust Grove! We’re glad to have you join us for our time of worship together. We would love to have you join us for Sunday school following the worship time. Sunday school is an important step in making further connections with a smaller group of people. Ask for help if you have any questions or need more information about our church.

A rose is at the front of the sanctuary this morning to represent the child that is being dedicated.
The WMSC October project is Christmas boxes. These need to be turned in today. The November project is blankets and comforters for MCC. Khankeo Kerschner will be the hostess for the Nov. 18 meeting and Irene Troyer will have devotions.
Grace Fellowship is hosting a community Thanksgiving dinner and is hoping to serve 500. They are asking area churches to help provide the food. Food slips are on the library counter. Marjana Tribble has agreed to be the coordinator from Locust Grove. Her phone number is 651-1518 if you have any questions.
Youth Core Events –

The JYF will be sponsoring another chicken noodle dinner on Sunday, Nov. 21. This will be a “by donation” fundraiser with homemade noodles and angel food cakes available to purchase. Noodles and cakes may be pre-purchased for $2.50/bag and $5.00/cake. See any JYFer or sponsor with your order.
Congratulations to Rick & Doris Bogen on the birth of their first grandchild. Kenna Hailey was born on Oct. 30 to Michelle & Andy Rohrer. She weighed 7 lb 1 oz and was 20 ¾ inches long. God’s blessings to this family.
Christmas is quickly approaching and it’s time to raise our voices and spread the joy of Christmas. Anyone who would like to sing this Christmas season in our very own Locust Grove Choir is invited to attend an organizational meeting next Sunday after the JYF luncheon. We will be singing many favorites and the ability to read music is not required. Please see Chris Barnes or Katrina Hasbrouck if you have any questions.
Next Wednesday, Nov. 17, will be the last night for Wednesday Connection until after the holidays. It will begin again on Jan. 12.
Ladies – If you lost a watch, check with the church secretary.
Dean Brubaker will be our guest speaker next Sunday morning. His sermon title will be “The Invisible Became Visible” and the scripture reading is Col. 1:11-22.
The church offices will be closed Nov. 25 & 26.
“We want to thank each one who helped contribute to the Marriage Retreat Fund. We raised $1,041 at our fund raiser dinner in October. We only need $200 more to send 20 couples to the retreat in February of 2005. Our marriages are so important and we thank each one of you.” - The Marriage Retreat Committee

We are planning another “craft night” for Friday, Dec. 3 starting at 6:00 PM. You are welcome to scrapbook, work on Christmas cards, cross stitch or whatever. Just bring a snack to share and your own drink and enjoy an evening of fellowship!
