ANNOUNCEMENTS
The JYF will be hosting “Dogs and a Song” hymn sing and hot dog roast fundraiser this evening at Amigo Park at 6:00 PM. Please bring your lawn chairs or blankets for a fun evening of food, fellowship and song. If you would like to bring games or swim suits, that would be great also.
Please remember that if you are turning in cans for the JYF pop can drive, they CANNOT return out-of-state cans. They must have the MI 10cent wording on the top of the can. Thanks for your help!
Ramona, Martha and Beth will be traveling to Moldova again in September. Possible plans include a widow’s meeting, visiting a cancer center, visiting an orphanage, and ministering to the blind. While in Moldova, different needs are always brought to their attention. If you would like to help with these needs, please designate through the offering to “Moldova Projects” by Aug. 28. This money would help them to be able to contribute “on the spot”. Thank you for your help!

Women’s Fellowship MCC Cookie Bake Wednesday, Aug. 17 from 5:30-8:30 PM. If you didn’t bring your ingredients today, please have them to the church by Wednesday. The sign-up list for attending is still on the table in the fellowship hall.
The next WMSC meeting is Thursday. Martha Brudney is in charge of the kitchen and Donna Sommers will have devotions. The project is school kits for MCC and additional school items for Locust Grove teachers to use in their schools.
We will have a Sunday outdoor service at the Amigo Pavilion at Amigo Centre on Aug. 21. Come for coffee and donuts at 10:00 AM and the service will begin at 10:30 AM. There will be a potluck meal after the service so bring a dish or two to pass and your own table service.
A vote will be taken next Sunday morning, Aug. 21 on the proposed church budget for 2011-12. Absentee ballots are available in the church office.
If you are willing to pray for Ramona, Martha & Beth while they are in Moldova, please sign the sheet on the table in the fellowship hall. This is one way we can all support them as they serve God on this mission trip.

Congratulations to Marv & Gerri Schwartz on the birth of their first grandson. Josiah Tucker was born on Aug. 7 and received for adoption by Laura & Jeremy Shue on Aug. 9. Great-grandmother is Mary Jane Eichorn. Thank you Lord for this gift of life!
