ANNOUNCEMENTS
MYF Kick-Off will be this evening from 5-7:30 PM here at the church. You will be playing “Capture the Flag” outside so dress appropriately. Supper will be provided.
Women’s Fellowship is Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the fellowship hall. Bring a
wrapped white elephant bingo prize. Refreshments are by the Sunday school class taught by Gerri Schwartz.
You are invited to Lake Area Christian School for a chili supper and gospel singing fundraiser on Oct. 23. Supper will be from 5-6:30 PM (donation basis) followed by a concert at 6:30 by the Wasepi Bluegrass.
Wednesday Connection will start October 14.

The IN/MI Fall women’s Retreat is Oct. 9-11 at Amigo Centre. The guest speaker is Evie Shellanberger and her theme is “Singing God’s Song in Iran”. Call Amigo at 651-2811 for registration.
Invitation to all! You are invited to attend the 1st Annual Cross Links Banquet to be held in Indiana on Oct. 24 at 6:00 PM at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. Come and enjoy a wonderful meal followed by an informative meeting on what Cross Links does and how it got started. There is no cost to you for the meal. The 42nd Annual Michiana Relief Sale totaled approximately $355,000 on Sept. 25 & 26. $117,000 came from the auctions. Donations towards the HIV/Aids kits totaled $2,520. Money raised for Penny Power was $17,170.35. Locust Grove’s contribution to this was $583.13. Thank you to everyone that participated by shopping, bidding, donating items, serving in the food line, or participating in Penny Power. We have all made a difference. ~ Donna Sommers
A Children’s Advent calendar, illustrated with artwork from an MMA coloring contest, retells the Christmas story using daily tabs children can flip open. Under each flap is a Scripture verse and corresponding artwork. These are available at www.bookstore.mma-online.org.
