The church offices will be closed Dec. 23, 24, 30 & 31. The bulletin will be printed on Wednesday those two weeks.
On Dec. 19 at 7:00 PM Locust Grove will be hosting a community Christmas celebration. This will be an evening of music and celebration where our congregation will be “sharing the light of Christmas” with others in our community. Please mark your calendars and invite your friends and neighbors to this special Christmas event.
The next Wednesday Connection will be on Jan. 12.
The Salvation Army is asking for help with their holiday food collection. They are requesting that Locust Grove provide cans of soup. Please place the soup cans on the table by the shopping cart in the fellowship hall. They need this by mid December.
Jan. 22, 2005 marks the 32nd anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize abortion. Since then, 44,000,000 unborn babies have been killed by abortion in this country. Again this year a supplement will be placed in area newspapers on Jan. 22 listing the names of all who believe in the sanctity of all human life. Please show your individual concern about this by printing your name on the endorsement sheets on the library counter.
Sign up today for the February Marriage Retreat. A nonrefundable deposit of $50 is required.
Bill & Janell Lederman request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Jaclyn to Joshua Suderman on Dec. 18 at 5:00 PM at Locust Grove. If you are unable to attend, they ask for your presence in thought and prayer.
The December WMSC project is relief kits for MCC.
Offering envelopes for 2005 will be in your mailboxes on December 19. Please let Fran Eichorn know before Dec. 17 if you are using them now and don’t want new ones or if you aren’t using them now but would like to start in 2005.
