“Passing on the Comfort – the war, the quilts, and the women who made a difference.” A traveling exhibit featuring 18 quilts made by Mennonites in North America and distributed in the Netherlands after WWII will be at The Depot in Goshen through Aug. 3. See the poster on the west bulletin board for more information.
Ladies – On Aug. 3 from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM an outing is being planned to go to The Depot in Goshen where you will do work projects at the MCC resource center, observe the traveling “Passing on the Comfort” quilt display, eat lunch, and shop at The Depot thrift shop, The Whistle Stop, and various shops at The Bag Factory. Check the WMSC bulletin board for sign-up and details.
Sample ballots were in the mailboxes last Sunday for church offices for the 2005-06 year. The vote will be taken Aug. 7 during the morning service.
Congratulations to Jesse Lederman on the accomplishment of achieving his Michigan Residential Contractor’s license!
Doris Brubaker has a new address: 421 W. Clay Court, Apt. 5, Sturgis.
We need western props for the L.G. Ranch Sunday school department downstairs. If you could bring western-style blankets, hats, tools, saddles, harnesses or any prop that would pertain to a ranch, please put it on the table in the fellowship hall marked “L.G. Ranch”. If you have any questions, see Eva Beeker or Mattie Miller.
Remember to bring your staple food supplies next Sunday for the Locust Grove Food Pantry.
The next Scrapbook/Craft Night at Locust Grove will be Aug. 5 at 6:00 PM.
