affirmation vote will take place on Aug. 30 during the morning service.
Locust Grove 75th Anniversary Celebration
– September 12 & 13
The
committee that is putting together the written history for the 75th Anniversary Celebration is
requesting photos of church people/families/events. They would specifically like pictures of Sunday school events, Bible school, MYF events
(including conventions), JYF events, WMSC, and the Christmas drama. If you have pictures you would be willing to
share, get them to Bill Beck or Brian W Troyer

the morning service.
The Locust Grove 75th Anniversary
Celebration will be held the weekend of
Sept.12 & 13. Our theme is "Jesus Christ, Rock of our Foundation". We are planning a dedication service on
Saturday, Sept. 12 at 4:00 PM , followed by a meal at 5:00
PM and
an evening program at 6:30 PM . Pulled pork sandwiches, drinks, and ice
cream with toppings will be provided. Please bring finger foods to
share. There will be organized games and bouncy houses for the children. On Sunday the 13th, William Hooley will be
the speaker at our morning service. We are planning a catered meal afterward.
We ask that you sign up in the fellowship hall so that we can plan accurately
for both meals. Please invite any past
attenders who may enjoy the celebration with us. Remember to sign them up as well.

For
the 75th Anniversary
Celebration meal on Sunday, Sept. 13, the women from Locust Grove are
asked to provide pies. Please see the
sign up sheet on the counter in the fellowship hall if you are willing to
supply pies.
Each
week we have a “family
to pray for” in the bulletin.
When it is your family’s week, we would like you to provide a picture or
two and a short description of hobbies, interests, etc for your family. There will be a 12x12 paper on the bulletin
board for these pictures and write-ups.
If you have any questions, talk to Pam Keeslar. And watch the bulletin to see when it will be
your turn!
The
end of the church fiscal year is August 31.
That means Annual Reports are due again.
Aren’t you excited?
The
Depot has organized a “Comforter Bash” with the end goal of 200 comforters for MCC. On Aug. 28 & 29, ladies from other
churches will join us here in our fellowship hall to cut and sew comforter
tops. You are invited to help with this
beginning at 9:00 AM. Lunch and an
evening meal will be provided. Bring
snacks. – The Locust Grove WMSC
