On Mar. 18 the WMSC is planning an all-church evening of knotting comforters. The WMSC ladies will be here at 1:00 PM to set things up. The rest of the church is invited to come when you can. Please bring a dish for a potluck supper at 6:00 PM. Marjana Tribble will fix a roaster of hot food. Come to fellowship and knot comforters for MCC. There are several tops to knot. Husbands are invited, too. Child care will be provided. Come one, come all!
The next “Home Improvement” will be March 6 at 6:30 PM at Bill & Louanne Younts’. It will be a chili cook-off and game night. Bring your favorite pot of chili for the competition and/or finger foods.
All ladies are invited to a baby shower for Blair Gautsche on Monday, Mar. 8 at 6:30 PM in the fellowship hall.
Please sign up to bring donuts for our fellowship time on Sunday mornings. The sign-up sheet is on the kitchen counter.
Marv Schwartz will be presenting the evening program at Calvary Chapel tonight at 6:00 PM.
“I have three tickets for the “Women of Faith” Conference in Ft. Wayne on Mar. 26-27 that I will not be able to use. If anyone is interested in purchasing these tickets, please see me.” – Gerri Schwartz
Locust Grove has established a Mennonite college tuition matching program. The Mennonite colleges will match contributions from students’ home congregations up to $1000 per school year. If you are planning on attending a Mennonite college (Goshen, Hesston, EMU, Bluffton, or Bethel in Newton, KS) and would like to apply for tuition aid, please fill out a form on the library counter and put it in Marv & Gerri Schwartz’s mailbox. There will be a special offering on March 21 for this fund.
Emily Franz has sent a letter updating her health. The letter is posted on the west bulletin board.
