WMSC meets Thursday. Hostess is Mary Jane Eichorn and Donna Sommers will have devotions. The project is nonperishables for Sturgis Food Pantry.
You are invited to a Soup Sampler fundraiser on Nov. 19 at New Covenant Christian Fellowship from 5-7:30 PM. Money raised will go to help offset the adoption and travel expenses of the Bart & Angie King family as they go to China to bring home their new 7 year old daughter.

The Mission Commission has a box in the fellowship hall to hold copy paper, bathroom tissue, paper towels and laundry detergent for the Haven of Rest in Battle Creek. Haven of Rest helps serve nearly 150 homeless individuals every day, all year long.
Lake Area Christian School’s Annual Benefit Auction & Bazaar is Nov. 20 & 21. Friday from 6-8:00 PM is preview night and a concert with The Schwartz Family. Events on Saturday start at 7:00 AM.
There is a sign-up sheet on the library counter that relates to the Thanksgiving meal being held at Grace Christian Fellowship on Nov. 26. There are still items to sign up to donate. The items will need to be at Locust Grove by Nov. 22. This is an annual meal for the community. They expect to feed around 400 people this year.
There will be a baby shower for Jaclyn (Lederman) Suderman on Dec. 5 at the Sturges Young Auditorium from 2-4:00 PM. All church women are invited.
The JYF and MYF will be going Christmas caroling on Dec. 10 starting at 5:00 PM. Everyone is invited to join them.
