The church secretary (who shall remain nameless) accidentally copied the 2004/05 budget for your mailboxes instead of the 2005/06 budget. Thankfully she realized her mistake before you voted on the wrong budget. She has now placed the correct budget in your mailboxes and the vote for the correct budget will be Sept. 11. She regrets any inconvenience this may have caused.
The next scrapbooking night at Locust Grove will be Friday, Sept. 9.
Annual reports for the 2004-05 church year are due after Sept. 1.
ANNOUNCEMENTS, cont.
If you were part of the drama for Bible School, took your costume home to wash, and have not returned it, please do so. You may hang them on the rack near the fellowship hall entrance.
The new college year will be starting soon. If you will be a student and would like to be on our prayer list, please let Beth Miller know.
INCOMING FRESHMEN are invited to join Youth Core! This is a group for high school teenagers which focuses on building relationships together and growing in our faith. If you have questions about the group, please contact one of the sponsors which are Joel & Monica Lederman, Charlie & Stefanie Patrick or Sheila Troyer. See you on Sept. 11 for initiation!
In your mailboxes today is the information about the community outreach proposal planned for Oct. 3-15. Contact a Mission Commission member by Sept. 4 to help schedule a project, request help, or suggest neighbors with needs.
The church office will be closed Friday, Sept. 9.
Remember to bring your staple food supplies next Sunday for the Locust Grove Food Pantry.
Don’t forget the Goldenrod Benefit Auction and Haystack Supper on Friday, Sept. 9 3:30-9:00 PM at CR16 & CR 43, 1.5 miles east of the center of Middlebury. Proceeds benefit persons with development disabilities served by MDC Goldenrod.
