We are rolling out a new text notification system.  This will be used for the church information line and the prayer chain.  If you would like to sign up to receive general announcements from Locust Grove (church cancellations/potluck reminders, etc.) you can send a text with the message @lggeneral to 269-503-8987.  You can also sign up for the church prayer chain by texting @lgprayer to the same number.  See Beth Miller or Brian Oswald with any questions.

The Praise Team will be singing at the County Fair on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 2:00 PM at the Community Tent.

Women’s Fellowship – Thursday, Sept. 25 at 5:00 PM – Cookie Baking for the Relief Sale.  If you would like to donate ingredients for cookies and brownies, there is a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.

Michiana Mennonite Relief Sale will be Sept. 26 & 27 in Goshen, IN. 

Annual Reports for the 2013-14 church year are due.  Thanks, Donna Sommers, for the first report!

The Relief Sale is seeking someone to be in charge of one of the booths in the craft building.  This could be done by an individual or a small group of people.  If you are interested, contact Laura Shue at 574-536-4549.

In honor of Merle & Andrea Yeager’s 50^th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 19, their children would like to have a card shower for them.  Please send your congratulatory wishes to 63773 Shimmel Road, Centreville, MI  49032 or place them in their church mailbox.

The WMSC project for September is the food cart AND to focus on September as a Prayer Month.  We provide relief in many areas with our MCC projects and Bibles for the Jail Ministry.  Let’s keep the recipients in our prayers and the contacts we have at the St. Joe County Fair, particularly around the quilt. – Donna Sommers for the WMSC

Kalamazoo Mennonite Fellowship is hosting a hymn sing and potluck supper on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 3:30 PM.  Please bring your own table service and food to share to Skyridge Church of the Brethren, 394 South Drake Road, Kalamazoo, MI.  Contact Will Fitzgerald at 269-381-4264 if you have questions.

Remember to bring your food donations that will go to Salvation Army.
