There are fliers and extra registration forms for the Jerusalem Marketplace on the library counter. Please return the forms by June 1 to Bill/Janell Lederman’s mailbox. This is a family event. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
The next scrapbooking/craft night here will be Friday, June 3 at 6:00 PM.
ANNOUNCEMENTS continued . . .
The Mission Commission will be collecting items for St. Joe County Child Abuse/Neglect at a display in the fellowship hall for the months of May and June. Grooming kits are needed as well as items for children evacuated from drug houses.
Chris & Kerri Kahila and children have moved. Their new address is 130 S. Clark Street, PO Box 851, Centreville, MI 49032 and new phone number is 269-467-4842.
The following items are needed in decorating for the Jerusalem Marketplace: colorful blankets and long lengths of colorful fabrics (no prints, please); baskets and pottery to set around, similar to what we used in the Christmas Drama; and artificial bread loaves and fruit. If you have any of these items, contact Sheila Troyer or Ramona King.
Little Eden Camp (Onekama, Michigan), a member of the Mennonite Camping Association, is looking for a couple of young men yet to complete its summer staff. Orientation for staff begins June 6. For more information, contact Wendell Beck at wdbeck@juno.com or call (231) 889-4294.
The Youth Core had another successful fundraiser, taking in $1,612.45 at the sale of Nelson’s Golden Glow chicken on May 14. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.
Keith & Chris Barnes invite you to help them celebrate their son Bryan’s high school graduation at an open house at their home on June 4 from 1-4:00 pm. Their address is 65370 Taylor Road, Sturgis.
The WMSC project for June is needed items for children in foster care.
Remember to bring your staple food supplies next Sunday for the Locust Grove Food Pantry.
The National Mennonite Assembly and Youth Convention in Charlotte, NC is July 4-9.
There are no Sunday evening services planned during the summer months. Cell groups will still meet as usual. – Elders & Staff
Explorers – The next activity is at Shipshe Pizza & Miniature Golf on June 5 from 2-4:00 PM. Please bring $3 to cover the cost of your golfing. If you need help with transportation or would like to car pool, please contact Dave, Lynette, Brian or Jessilyn by today. Hope to see you there!
