Comforter Knotting Evening for the whole church is April 21. Bring a dish to pass for the supper which will be at 6:00 PM. The regular WMSC meeting will start after lunch. The rest of you are invited to come when it is convenient. Donna Sommers will be in charge of the main hot dish with Donna Gautsche as back-up.
The WMSC April project is health kits for MCC. Items that are needed are posted on the WMSC bulletin board in the fellowship hall.
Today the Youth Core participants would enjoy having lunch with you and your family at the fundraising meal following Sunday School. This meal is to help raise money for the youth convention in July. The number continues to increase as we now have 14 youth scheduled to attend. Plan now to help support this great group of kids. Thank you. – Youth Core Sponsors
Do you enjoy hosting groups of people in your home or maybe you would enjoy being the guest? Either way, mark your calendars for the semi-annual “Guess Who’s Coming to Supper” on Sunday, May 1 at 6:00 PM. If you have questions, please contact Sheila Troyer.
The lot process for choosing an Elder will take place on April 24.
Reminder – Beth’s office will be closed during the Sunday School hour to minimize disruptions to the class that meets outside the office. For any questions or concerns, please contact Bill Lederman.
If you haven’t yet taken a food slip for the Mother/Daughter Tea on April 30, please do so.
In an effort to help with the cost of Christian Education in the Anabaptist-Mennonite tradition, Bethel, Bluffton, Goshen, and Hesston Colleges and EMU have agreed to match up to $1000 dollar for dollar that is contributed from home congregations. Locust Grove will take a special offering for this fund on April 24th. If you are a high school senior or current college student and planning on attending one of the above mentioned colleges, please fill out a grant application form on the library counter. If you have questions, please contact Gerri Schwartz.
