The Elder selection process is beginning. On Nov. 15 you will be asked to make your nominations. Please be in prayer about this process. There will also be a vote of affirmation on the Conference Delegate position.
A sample ballot is in your mailbox this morning.
You are invited to a Soup Sampler fundraiser on Nov. 19 at New Covenant Christian Fellowship from 5-7:30 PM. Money raised will go to help offset the adoption and travel expenses of the Bart & Angie King family as they go to China to bring home their new 7 year old daughter.
Mary Jane Eichorn’s new address is 429 W. Clay Court, Apt. 2, Sturgis. Her phone number stays the same – 651-2026.

You are invited to Lake Area Christian School’s Annual Benefit Auction & Bazaar. Friday, Nov. 20, is the preview night and a concert with The Schwartz Family. This is from 6-8:00 PM. Events on Saturday, Nov. 21 start with a breakfast at 7:00 AM. The silent auction starts at 8:00 AM, live auction begins at 10:00 AM, and lunch at 11:00 AM.
There are two sign up sheets on the library counter that relate to the Thanksgiving meal being held at Grace Christian Fellowship on Nov. 26. One sheet is to help with the meal. That needs to be signed by Nov. 12. The other sheet is to donate food and drink items. Those items need to be at Locust Grove by Nov. 22. This is an annual meal for the community. They expect to feed around 400 people this year.
The Mission Commission will have a box in the fellowship hall to hold copy paper, bathroom tissue, and laundry detergent for the Haven of Rest in Battle Creek. Haven of Rest helps serve nearly 150 homeless individuals every day, all year long.
A thank you note from Chris & Destiny Higdon (daughter and son-in-law of Jim & Ruth Peshina) is posted on the west bulletin board.
There will be a baby shower for Jaclyn (Lederman) Suderman on Dec. 5 at the Sturges Young Auditorium from 2-4:00 PM. All church women are invited.
