ANNOUNCEMENTS
Each year the Mennonite colleges offer students a grant that matches home congregation contributions dollar for dollar up to $1,000 per year ($500 per semester).  Locust Grove has a line item in the budget that goes to that fund.  If you are a high school senior or current college student, are planning to attend one of the Mennonite colleges, and would like to take part in this program, please notify Gerri Schwartz by today.
Women’s Fellowship will be sponsoring a shopping trip to Ikea Store and/or Woodfield Mall in Chicago on Saturday, Apr. 18.  The bus will be boarding at 7:15 AM at our church, leaving at 7:30 AM, and returning at 9:30 PM.  Cost will be $50 per person.  The sign-up list is on the counter and we need to have a final count and payment by April 1.
Our group subscription to The Mennonite is renewing.  If you are interested in joining the group plan, please contact Beth Miller by April 5.  Five subscriptions are $39 each.  Six or more are $37 each.  Make your check payable to Locust Grove.
ANNOUNCEMENTS, cont.
There will be a Maundy Thursday service on Apr. 2 at 6:00 PM.  There will be a light meal followed by communion and foot washing.
We will be having an Easter breakfast potluck at 9:30 AM on Apr. 5 followed by the morning service at 10:30 AM.  There will be no Sunday school that morning.
A Potatoes and Praise fundraiser will be hosted Sunday, April 26th by the JYF.  A baked potato supper will be served at 5:30 pm followed by a time of praise at 6:30 pm.  The youth will be sharing about their year in JYF amidst songs led by the Praise Team.
Women of Faith is doing a Farewell Tour this year and will be in Ft. Wayne July 31 and Aug. 1.  Janell Lederman has purchased 25 tickets and a lunch for each ticket.  The cost is $106.45 per person to attend.  This does not include a hotel room.  A sign up list is on the counter in the Fellowship Hall and will be there for several weeks.  Hotel rooms can be reserved based on interest.  Come join thousands of women in worship.  It is life changing!
Remember to bring your food donations that will go to the Salvation Army.  Specific items needed are ketchup, canned corn and butter.
WMSC will be on April 16 with Devotions by Martha Franz and kitchen will be Nicki Younts.  The project for April will be paper products for Keystone, Battle Creek and Salvation Army.

MYF –
JYF – Mar. 29, Noon to 3:00 PM – Bowling – Two games, shoe rental, and lunch provided.  Bring socks, a friend, and your best bowling moves.

Amigo Woodcutting Day – Sat., April 11 starting at 8:00 AM.  Brunch will be at 10:00 AM.  Bring saws and splitters if possible.  People of all skill levels are welcome to help cut, haul, split or stack wood.

The WMSC project for April is paper products for Keystone Place, Haven of Rest in Battle Creek, and Salvation Army.
Sympathy and prayers go to two Locust Grove families.  Mary Carpenter died last Sunday.  She was the sister of Bertha (Dave) Bontrager, Ann (Hezir) Araujo, Edna Carpenter and Jim (Faith) Carpenter, and aunt and great aunt of many here at Locust Grove.  And Mary Hochstedler, mother of Bob (Rachel) Hochstedler, also died last Sunday.  May God give comfort and peace to these families.
