 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Anyone interested in participating in a Parent/Child dedication, see Bill Beck.

Pastor Bill is cleaning off his book shelves and has put a lot of free books on the console in the fellowship hall.  Help yourself.

Food donations during March will go to the Salvation Army.

The MYF is collecting canned/boxed food for the Salvation Army.  They will be driving around to different congregation members’ homes to collect the food.  If you want them to stop at your house, let Adam, Cathy, Doug or Marcy know. 

We will be sharing communion and foot washing on Mar. 28, Palm Sunday.  There will be no Maundy Thursday service.  On Easter Sunday, Apr. 4, we are planning a “carry-in” breakfast.  Plan to arrive at 9:15 AM.  We will eat at 9:30 AM and the worship service will begin at 10:30 AM.  There will be no Sunday School time that Sunday.

The Life & Nurture Commission offers tuition help of up to $1,000 per year ($500 per semester) from Locust Grove to any eligible student that is or plans to attend any Christian college, university or seminary.  Some of those colleges may match contributions from home congregations and some may not.  If you are a high school senior or current college student up to 26 years of age and are planning to attend a Christian college for the school year 2021-22, please notify Gerri Schwartz by Mar. 31, 2021.

Amigo Centre – Full Moon Campfire, Mar. 27 & 28, 4-9:00 PM.  They will be making maple syrup.  Orienteering 101, Mar. 27, 1-3:00 PM.  Learn how to use a compass on Camp’s orienteering course.  More details are posted on the bulletin board.

Offices Booklets are available on the console by the library.  Let the church office know of any corrections.

There will be a Love Farewell for Pastor Bill & Sherry on Apr. 25.  Prior to that we would invite everyone (including children) to be saving things for a scrapbook page for them.  It can include cards, pictures, or memories (be creative).  If you don’t have scrapbook supplies, there will be some available on Apr. 11 & 18 at the church.

JYF (Middle School Youth)Mar. 26-27 – Overnight at the Blue Gate Inn (Shipshewana) followed by visiting Menno-Hof in the morning.

MYF (High School Youth) – Mar. 21 – Skiing at Swiss Valley has been cancelled.  Meet at the church at 5:00 PM instead.  Apr. 11, 6-8:00 PM – Activities with Cheryl Mast at the church.  Apr. 25, 6-8:00 PM – Activities at the Keeslar Farm.  May 8 – Auction.  More details to come.
