Food donations during October will go to Keystone Place.

Annual Reports for the 2022-23 church are due.

We will be having a Congregational Meeting tonight, October 8 at 5:00 PM.  Please bring finger food to share.

Kid’s Club will be Wednesdays from 6-7:30 PM for kids in kindergarten through 5^th grade.  We will meet weekly on Wednesdays through November 22.  Come for games, snacks, Bible stories, crafts, activities, and prizes!

We welcome children ages 4 - 5th grade to join us for Children's Church!  Children will be dismissed after the worship time to meet volunteers in the back of the sanctuary. After the service, parents/guardians will be dismissed first to pick up their child/children at the back of the sanctuary. We will not have Children's Church on the 5th Sunday of the month so that children can have the opportunity to experience the full worship service with their parents/ guardians. 

The Prayer Partner year-end party will be October 10 at 6:00 PM in the fellowship hall.  Bring finger food to share.

Women’s Fellowship will be hosting a Bingo Night on October 17 at 6:00 PM.    Please bring a wrapped gift and finger food to share.

The youth are inviting all to join for a Mystery Meal Fundraiser on October 21 at 6:00pm at the church. Please come support our church youth as you order your mystery courses from a football themed menu. Cost is on a donation basis and will be used towards a summer service trip. You can rsvp on the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall. Please see Darin King for any questions.

The Worship Commission is planning another hymn sing at the Riegsecker barn on October 22nd. Steve has volunteered to make soup so we are suggesting people come at 4:30 or 5:00pm. You can fellowship over a bowl of soup and then we will plan to sing at 6:00pm. Bring finger foods to snack on. In the case of cold weather, the barn can be heated.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month. We will be celebration Pastor Matt and his family with a fellowship meal on October 29 after the morning service. Plan to bring a full dish or two to share and enjoy a time of fellowship. There will be a basket available for cards of appreciation.

Gift giving shelves have been added in the mailroom. If you have a gift for someone in the church, please place it on those shelves rather than the credenza which is becoming our welcome center.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS continued…..

The Hospitality Team has been working at bettering the church coffee. Improvements have been made through the installation of a filtered drinking water tap in the kitchen, flavored creamers, and higher quality coffee. If you haven't tried it recently, stop by and give it a taste.

Dave & Bertha Bontrager will be celebrating their 70th anniversary on Tuesday, October 10! The family would love to shower them with cards and are asking anyone who would like to, send a card to the following address: 605 Lancashire Drive, Sturgis, MI 49091. They also enjoy visitors if you’d like to stop by. Thank you!

The Women’s Mission & Service project for October is flat twin sheets for Mennonite Central Committee.

You are invited to help Thurston Woods Village celebrate their 70th anniversary on October 14 from 4-8:00pm.  There will be food trucks, live music, tours, and a silent auction.
