ANNOUNCEMENTS
Attention all JYFers!  Kim, Justin and Marcy, your new leaders, want to get everyone together for a Fall Party today after the morning service.  You will be transported in the church van to Doug & Kim Schwartz’s home for fall festivities and returned to the church at 7:00 PM to be picked up by your parents.  Bring your friends!  See you there! 
The October WMSC project is items/cash for the Hospitality House in Kalamazoo.  The next WMSC meeting is this Thursday.  Gerri Schwartz will be in charge of the kitchen and Chris Oswald will have devotions.
The Jail Ministry Banquet is scheduled for October 20.
Prayer Partner Party—Oct. 27 at Donna Schrock’s at 6:30 p.m.  Bring your “revealing” gift and a snack to share.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month.  We will be celebrating with a fellowship meal on Sunday, Oct. 30 after the morning service.  The main dish will be provided and you are asked to bring salads and desserts.
Thank you to all who donated school supplies for our local teachers and educators to use.  Your generosity is appreciated!
ANNOUNCEMENTS, cont.
Remember to attend the Comforter Bash on Oct. 21-22 at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 58529 CR 23, Goshen, IN.  You will be stitching and knotting comforters for MCC.  The goal is to complete 150 comforters.  Your help is needed!
The prayer partner year ends October 31.  Present prayer partners have new sign up forms in their mailbox.  Please fill them out and return them to Tonya Barrington’s mailbox by Oct. 23 so Tonya can get new partners assigned and in your mailbox by Nov. 6.  For NEW partners—all ladies are welcome—sign up forms are on the console.  Please take one, fill out and return to Tonya’s box.  Return and new partners please sign the sign up sheet on the console. 
Annual Reports for the 2015-16 church year are due.
Food donations during October will go to Keystone Place.
Women’s Fellowship is planning a trip to Turkeyville USA on Nov. 5.  A sign-up sheet and more information are on the console by the library.  Cost is $40.
The next Red Cross blood drive is scheduled for November 7.
There is a sign up sheet in the fellowship hall for the 2017 Marriage Retreat which will take place Feb. 10-12.  Please sign up and have a $100 deposit to Pam Keeslar by Oct. 30.
MCC is thankful for the $5,112.47 that Locust Grove contributed to My Coins Count.  A total of over $48,000 was raised to support water projects in Africa.
