ANNOUNCEMENTS
John & Sheila will be leaving for China on Sept. 21 and returning with Amanda on Oct. 8. If you want to get updates and photos while they’re gone on their trip, to www.troyernet.com.
Wednesday Connection will begin on Sept. 29. We will begin with a light supper and then have classes and activities for all ages from 6:30-7:30 PM. Be sure to mark your calendars.
We are once again looking for the right person for the one-quarter time position of church administrator here at our church. If you’re interested in being considered for that position, please contact Pastor John or Paul Woods (625-4596).
Ushers: Our current ushers, the Mulletts, would like a break. If you feel God calling you to serve as usher this year, please contact Sam Miller. It is a very rewarding service. One of the requirements is to be available each Sunday with a warm & friendly smile at 9:00 AM.
The next WMSC meeting will be Sept. 16. The project will be large cans of food for Kalamazoo Rescue Mission. Mary Jane Eichorn will be hostess and Martha Franz will have devotions.
Along with the day session of WMSC, there will be an evening WMSC II meeting starting at 6:00 PM. You are invited to attend and share in the experience. See the west WMSC bulletin board for details.
Marriage Enrichment Classes will begin Sept. 29. If you have been married within the last year and did not receive a letter, if you missed a class and would like to join us this year, or if you have already taken the class and would like to take it again, please contact the leaders, Sam & Mattie Miller or Bill & Louanne Younts.
Anyone interested in walking at the Mennonite Relief Sale, please contact Carrie Martin to get a registration form and to order your Locust Grove “Making Strides” t-shirt.
Pledge sheets are on the library counter for our MCC Bike Michiana riders who are seeking sponsors. The proceeds will go to the MCC “Generation at Risk” project.
Everyone is invited to help Paul & Fran Eichorn and family celebrate the adoption of their daughter Sierra with an open house today from 3-6:00 PM at their home.
Charlie & Stefanie Patrick’s new address is 611 Cornelia St., Sturgis, MI. Their phone number remains the same – 659-2688.
Bill & Louanne Younts are happy to announce the safe arrival of another granddaughter. Ernest & Paula Hawkes gave birth to Pauline Janice on Sept. 8 in Kalamazoo. She is named after all 3 of her great grandmothers. Congratulations!
