You are invited to a New Year’s Eve Party, Monday, Dec. 31 for all church family and friends here in the fellowship hall at 8:00 PM. Please bring salad or dessert, soft drinks and games.
Locust Grove is hosting a blood drive on Jan. 2 from 1-6:45 PM. Watch for sign up sheets with ways you can help. Each pint of blood can save up to four hospital patients. To become a blood donor, you must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health. Presenting donors can enter to win a 4-day, 3-night travel package for four to Disney World in Orlando!

Prayer Partner Reveal Party – Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Martha Franz’s home. Anyone interested in joining next year is welcome to attend, also. A sign-up sheet and the new forms will be on the library counter and should be back to Martha by Jan. 8.
Phil Yoder now has his own mailbox as do Dave & Chris Casterline.
Wednesday Connection starts again on January 9. Classes will be announced next Sunday.
Next Sunday is the day to bring your staple food supplies for the food pantry.
Today is the last Sunday to sign up to be on the church prayer chain. The sign up sheet is on the library counter.
A Christmas card from Sheldon & Cindy Sharp is posted on the west bulletin board.
The MCC meat canning will be Jan. 15-25 at the Depot in Goshen. They will be canning turkey this year. Locust Grove’s day to help is Tuesday, Jan. 15 starting at 7:00 AM and going through the evening until 8-8:30 PM. Afternoon and evening workers are especially needed. You are required to wear clean clothes and something on your head. Lunch will be available at the Depot on days of canning. A complete schedule is posted on the west bulletin board.
Job opportunities still available - The Whistle Stop and Switch Yard are taking applications for assistant managers for these two MCC thrift shops located in the Depot. Both positions are 30 hours per week and require one Saturday per month. For a job description and application, stop in or contact Missy Schrock at 574-534-1828.
Students can apply for financial assistance through the MMA College Scholarship program. Each year MMA offers up to 36 scholarships to students who are members of a congregation with an MMA advocate. For details, see Fred or Marilyn Schwartz, our MMA advocates. Applications are due Feb. 28, 2008.
