Faith Statements
Faith Statements, continued
Gary & Kay Large – We
became believers in Christ over 30 years ago. Our walk with Christ has had its ups and downs
but we continued to walk with Him, always trusting in His plan for our lives. We have served in different churches and at a Christian
school over the years. We know Locust Grove
is a family of believers who serves the Lord and shows His love through the teaching
of The Word, ministries, and the servant’s hearts of its members. This is the reason we would like to become a part
of the Family here.
Isaac & Annie Miller – We
choose to join a local church because God’s word clearly communicates the
importance of meeting and living together for fellowship and accountability in
our spiritual formation. Following Jesus
was never meant to be done alone or in private.
Being in a body of believers will encourage us, edify us, teach us, and
guide us as we strive to bring glory to God in our individual relationships
with the Lord and our marriage, and in the way we raise our children to love
their Lord and Savior.
We choose to join Locust Grove primarily
because it is founded on and holds closely to God’s word in its leadership and
mission. Jesus tells us to look for the
fruit when evaluating someone or something and we have seen fruit in the lives
of LGMC’s past and present members. We
feel loved and we feel we can serve here, worship here, encourage and be
encouraged here.
Eileen Jean Osborn – I
was born in Johnstown , PA , daughter of Elmer &
Dorothy Blough Eash. I accepted Christ
as my Savior at 14 years old at the Blough Mennonite Church . After graduating from high school, I left
home for Archbold , OH and then on to Goshen College . Then 10 years ago, my husband had a heart
attack and while in the hospital, he was told he had Alzheimer’s. I realized I had to turn to a “higher power”,
the Lord, for strength and guidance. And
I needed to put my life in His hands. “What
a Blessed Day” from then on. I’ve felt
His presence in my decisions daily. Now
I want to join the Locust Grove Mennonite Church family. It is so sad that I didn’t accept the Lord’s
love and grace many years ago.
