Welcome to Locust Grove! We’re glad to have you join us for our time of worship together. If you haven’t already attended, we would love to have you also join us for Sunday school next Sunday. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Communion Service – Aug. 2 – There will not be footwashing.
We will be having our annual outdoor service at the Amigo Centre Pavilion Aug. 9. Coffee and doughnuts will be from 10-10:30 AM, Worship Service at 10:30 with a fellowship meal to follow. There will be a golf cart for transportation from the parking lot for those who will need a ride to the pavilion.
Craft Club will be at Donna Schrock's home on Thursday, Aug 6 @ 7 pm. All ladies are welcome to join them for fellowship and a wonderful time to catch up on your knitting, crocheting or quilting.
Remember to bring your staple food supplies next Sunday for the Sturgis Food Pantry.

Please Note – There are three “trees” in the west entry that are left from VBS. If they are yours, please take them home.
“Thank you to VBS for making school kits for Moldova your project this year! With your generous gift we were able to make 154 school kits. Thank you for your kindness to poor children in Moldova!" - Phil Yoder
“It means a lot when a congregation shares the fruit of a special offering to help with the expenses of our life together. Your contribution of $845.77 is a generous way to support the work of Conference. Thank you so very much and may God’s peace be with you.” – IN/MI Conference
“The Moldova school kits ask for $1 to purchase Moldovan notebooks to add to the kits once we get there. There is a white container on the library counter for you to put your dollars into rather than in the school kit bag. Thanks!” – Martha Franz
Pleasant View Mennonite Church is having a Hog Roast Fundraising Event for Destiny Peshina-Higdon on Aug. 23 from 11:30-4:00 PM. A sign-up sheet is on the library counter if you plan to attend.

Following are several work projects you may wish to sign up for:
1- HINGES - Change out brass hinges for brushed nickel on new, already installed doors. (Suggest a cordless drill and can be supplied)
2 - PAINT BASEBOARD HEAT COVERS - Sand (lightly), clean and spray paint the existing covers (removed). (Supplies can be “supplied”)
3 - BRICK CLEANING - Clean 100 used brick of prior use mortar, for reuse in filling voids left by air-conditioners, closed up windows, etc. (Tools can be supplied)
4 - SMALL ROOM PAINTING PROJECTS - Not ready just yet but there will be nursery and bathrooms etc to be painted soon. (Supplies can be “supplied”.)
5 - SMALL ROOM CLEANING PROJECTS - Cleaning rooms (nursery & bathrooms, etc) in preparation for new floor covering
