ANNOUNCEMENTS
Thurston Woods is helping Locust Grove with the relief drive to provide warm comforters and quilts to the Iraqi people. On April 27, starting at 2:00 PM, they will have a workday to finish the 25 comforters that are ready to tie. They will have a pot luck supper from 6-7:00 PM. If you would like to help, contact Martha Franz.
The WMSC “Spring Gathering” will be May 1 at 9:00 AM at Berkey Ave. Mennonite Church. The topic is “The Changing Faces of Mennonite Women.” See Martha Franz for more information.
“Thank you to all of you who helped knot comforters at our March WMSC meeting. Nine comforters were knotted and are now bound and on their way to MCC to be distributed. 64,000 blankets and comforters are shipped each year to Angola, Bosnia, Haiti, Iraq, North Korea, Russia, Serbia, Kazakstan and Ukraine. Along with the nine comforters go 30 blankets that came in for the March project. Thanks again for your help.” – The WMSC

Chad & Carmen Miller are happy to announce the arrival of Clint Ezekiel Miller. Clint was born April 11. He weighed 7 lbs and was 19 ½ in. Big sister Ginny is doing well, too, and adjusting to having a little brother around. (Chad & Carmen are former members of Locust Grove and were both involved with Amigo Centre.)
Bethany Christian HS Spring Fish Fry is Friday, April 23 from 4:30-8:00 PM (IN time). Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $4 for children in grades K-6. Preschoolers are free.
MCC Great Lakes is recruiting for the position of Asst. Director/Resource Development Manager. This is a 2-year, full-time, salaried position based in Goshen, IN. More information is posted on the west bulletin board.
