Welcome to Locust Grove!  We’re glad to have you join us for our time of worship together.  If you haven’t already attended, we would love to have you also join us for Sunday school next Sunday.  Sunday school is an important step in making further connections with a smaller group of people.   Ask for help if you have any questions or need more information about our church.

Results from the Blood Drive32 total donations. Thank you to Martha Franz for making soup, Bill & Janell Lederman and Jim & Teresa Owsley for helping with registration, and to Gerri Schwartz for giving a ride to a donor.

The Women's Mission & Service project for May is baby bottles for Sturgis Pregnancy Helpline. Pick up a baby bottle at either entrance and put your pocket change in it throughout the month. Checks and paper money can also be put in the bottle. Return the bottle to the mission counter in the fellowship hall at the end of the month or when full.

Women’s Mission & Service’s monthly meeting is this Thursday.  Rachel Oswald is in charge of the kitchen and Louellen Westover will have devotions.

Women’s Fellowship May 18, 10:00am–2:00pm – Meet at Mennohof in Shipshewana, IN at 10:00am for a tour followed by lunch and shopping.  Please sign up on the sheet at the welcome center.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Food donations during April will go to Keystone Place.

The Women’s Mission & Service project for April is sewing kits for Mennonite Central Committee to distribute to ladies in other countries, helping them provide an income for their families.  We have a wholesale place where the contents of a kit can be purchased for approximately $25 and the order has been placed to make up to 50 kits.  If you would like to contribute to this project, do so by designating in your church offering.  Your help is much appreciated!

Church office hours next week will be Tuesday and Wednesday.  The bulletin will be printed on Wednesday.

The Locust Grove Youth would like to say thank you to the congregation for their generous support during our Beard Butchering fundraiser. We hope you have had as much fun watching the videos as the youth

   had creating them. The grand total for our fundraiser was $3,520.02 which will go towards the $13,500 needed to send 16 youth and 4 adults to North Carolina this summer to serve in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

It’s time to update the church directory again.  Take a look at your page and see if it needs to be updated.  Let Rin Bontrager know if you want to make any changes.

There will be no Children’s church today as it’s the 5th Sunday of the month.  This is also Easter Sunday and we invite children to be a part of the service with their parents/grandparents/guardians.

If your child will be going to a Christian camp this summer, camp scholarships are available.  Applications are in the church office.  Reimbursement is given after the child attends camp.  The amount of reimbursement depends on how many apply.

We are planning to have a Parent/Child dedication during the morning service on April 14.  If you would like to be a part of this, please contact Matt Yoder.  This is not just for infants.

If you would like to receive the Daily Bread (large print), please let the church office know.  A $10 donation is requested.
